FAIL

I completely failed NoBloPoMo. In my defense, I had a complication from the C-Section that rendered me useless. Listen to your doctor when they tell you to take it easy after major surgery. They aren't kidding around. I'm going to try to keep blogging from here on out. Half a month would be some kind of accomplishment. Well, for me anyway.

raincheck

I had a post all set to go about all the cooking I've been doing this past week, but I'm having a bit of a set back from my C-Section recovery. Unforch, I'm in a ton of pain today. Hopefully I'll be back to normal tomorrow!

It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year

Sephora's Friends + Family is in full effect! I'm a make up junkie and when Sephora's FF rolls around, it's all I can do to not go absolutely nutty and buy everything. My haul this year is smaller than years' past because Beauty.com also has their Friends + Family AND they have no tax and since they added some of my favorite brands (Nars, Lorac, etc.) I'll be ordering most of my goods from there this year.

1. Laura Mercier Foundation Powder - This is my go to powder, love the texture.
2. YSL Mascara - I haven't tried this, but 4 1/2 stars from 1000+ reviews must mean it's pretty darn good, eh?
3. Urban Decay Primer - this makes my eyeliner stay put all.day.long. In fact, when my OB came to prep me right before my C-Section, she commented that my eye make up looked great. And that's after 21 hours of labor, people.
4. Nars Beauty in a Box - Beauty.com carries Nars also, but this is a Sephora exclusive. I'm a sucker for gift sets and the eye shadow's in this one are gorg and I lurve the mini version of the bronzer and multiple.

Quick Getaway

The Hubs celebrates the big 3-0 this weekend! I'm a total fail because with all that's been going on, I haven't had time to plan something AWESOME. So, instead we're taking a quick trip down to San Diego! We're going to check out Balboa Park and eat at the Hash House and hopefully a few more fun things. It'll be the first trip away as a fam and I can't wait!

NaBloPoMo

To get me back into the blogging swing of things, I thought I'd tackle NaBloPoMo. I tried it two years ago and failed miserably, but I had a good excuse! I was traveling through Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam and trying to find a reliable internet source everyday was not an easy task. Especially when protesters have taken over the Bangkok airport and left you stranded in Thailand. That was not fun. Anyhow..... It's been almost three weeks since Le Bebe made her debut and I'm still struggling with what to wear. Even though I had horrendous morning sickness the first 6 1/2 months of the pregnancy, I still managed to gain a whooping 38 pounds. Blah. My maternity clothes are now too big (and to be honest, I'm so sick of them I can't even stand to look at them let alone wear any of it) and I still have a ways until I can fit back into my pre-baby jeans so I need some transitional pieces to take me through until I finally lose all the baby weight. Enter 7 For all Mankind's Friends + Family Sale! I picked up a pair of Dojos - they sit a a bit higher on the waist so they'll help reign in my muffin top ;)

I also got a pair of basic bootcut pair:

I also picked up a couple of pairs of jeggings from Forever 21. Can't beat $8.50!

I couldn't resist these flat boots from Via Spiga. I got from Bloomies with their buy two get 20% off sale. These holiday sales are going to kill me and it's just November 1st!
